The Garden of Earthly Delights - Launch Fundraiser

Introducing the inaugural Garden of Earthly Delights Gala: a fundraiser for The Garden Co-operative, Australia's first ever Sex Worker Co-operative. Conjured from the relentless work of the late Mama B, The Garden Co-operative is being created to bring power and profit back into the hands of the workers, and provide a legitimate space for our community to exist and make money, safely and proudly. But we need your help -- we are putting on a party like only whores know how, with a curation of the most talented souls from our community in celebration of sex worker rights and building a better industry together.

The seeds of The Garden Co-operative were planted in a workshop three years ago facilitated by the visionary Mama B, the idea continued to grow through meetings in lounge rooms across Naarm over those years and is now blossoming as Australia’s first sex worker Co-operative — bringing Mama B’s bold and empowering vision to life even as she passed earlier this year.

Whether you are a current, former worker, or a trusted ally of our industry, we invite you to our Garden of Earthly Delights in Naarm/Melbourne on Friday September 4th to celebrate this moment in sex worker history and show your support by splashing some cash at our live auction, art auction and raffle.

Relax in the elegant, vivacious and velvet-gloved hands of our host for the evening, @discountpricepssy and enjoy a cornucopia of sex worker excellence, with performances throughout the night including clowning, strippers, drag, burlesque, kink and more. Pound your Pleasers on the dancefloor all night and stay hydrated with refreshments served by co-op members, and plenty more delicious morsels to discover!

If you are not a sex worker, you are still so very welcome in our Garden of Earthly Delights. To ensure this is a safe space for our industry, in order to purchase a ticket you must receive a personal invitation from a verified worker attending the Gala, no exceptions. If you are a sex worker and you would like to invite a guest, you will be provided with a link to share with your guest. Please make sure your guest provides your name as a reference when purchasing. Worker comfort is our number one priority, and we trust you all to only extend invites to safe and trusted allies. We see it as a privilege to receive an invite, and behaviour that is discriminatory, inappropriate or unsafe will not be tolerated. For any questions on the above, please contact thegardencoop@proton.me

The Garden Co-operative is all about fostering connection with the wider community, as a grassroots worker-owned cooperative made up of workers from all over our diverse industry, and we invite colleagues, allies and friends to step into our world for a night, bring some cash, and show your appreciation for all that sex workers do.

Funds raised will contribute towards the first year of operation of The Garden Co-operative, which includes registration fees, marketing, governance training, accounting, and investment in our future network of incalls. 10% of funds raised will go to Vixen, Victoria's Peer Sex Worker Organisation.

The theme for the night is 'The Garden of Earthly Delights', inspired by the paintings of Hieronymous Bosch, and extending to anything else that conjures up in your minds eye. Think florals, natural fibres, animal print, fairies, ethereal, mystical woodland creatures, or any other interpretation you think of. If our theme doesn't land for you, feel free to wear whatever makes you feel sexy.

Our fundraiser is taking place on stolen Wurundjeri Country, over which sovereignty was never ceded. 1% of all profits over the lifetime of The Garden Co-operative go towards paying the rent via mutual aid.

This event is strictly for those aged 18 years and above.
